Revolutionary Despair is a Devil Ray

We’re reminded of Che’s struggles in the Bolivian jungles before his death. Hounded by CIA-sponsored forces and a diminished sense of hope, he must have shared these dark thoughts that wreck our days now. Losing 6 of the last 7 games has dampened our morale greatly. Indeed, we are saving the last bullet for ourselves. Sometimes, while we are used to the loneliness attached to our position, a toll is taken. The very fiber of our being is twisted and frayed- our hopes dashed. Perhaps a song will lift our spirits…

O’ DEVIL RAY

Shoulder the bats
The battle we take
With Victory bested
Or a Hero’s wake
The American League East
Or the high hills of peace
With no infield too great
it’s victory or death
O’ Devil Ray…
